Mitch Winehouse, Amy Winehouse’s father, was ordered to pay nearly $1.3 million in legal costs to Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourla, whom he sued for auctioning off the Grammy winner’s belongings. In a July 29 judgment obtained by E! News, Deputy High Court Judge Sarah Clarke ordered Mitch to make interim payments totaling roughly £964,000 toward the defendants’ legal costs after his claims were dismissed in April. Mitch had alleged that the two women—who were close friends of Amy’s—sold items at U.S. auctions in 2021 and 2023 without his consent. They denied wrongdoing and maintained that the belongings were either their property or gifts from the “Back to Black” singer.
