Israel has built more than 23 kilometres of earthen barriers along the so-called “Yellow Line” it demarcated in Palestine’s Gaza, expanding the occupied zone from roughly half the Palestinian territory to nearly two-thirds since October 2025.
More than a third of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire declared that same month have died near the advancing line, as families living beside it describe daily gunfire and shrinking space to survive.
