Dylan Walsh may have been put in the penalty box. After the ‘Heated Rivalry’ actor—who plays dad to Hudson Williams’ character Shane Hollander—shared details about the Crave TV show’s production schedule, he said he was reprimanded. “Getting ready to go back up to Canada and shoot some more episodes,” Walsh said in a since-deleted video shared to Cameo, which was posted to a ‘Heated Rivalry’ fan account on X Aug. 6. “I think we’re doing 12 this time.” As a result, fans began to speculate that the show was either filming two seasons back-to-back or that the second season would be split in two, as the creator of ‘Heated Rivalry,’ Jacob Tierney, has previously stated that he hopes to limit seasons to six episodes. Following his video going viral, Walsh removed his Cameo page, and included a since-deleted note that stated he was “stepping away” from the platform because the video “got me in trouble.” The ‘Superman & Lois’ star apologized for his mistake in a statement to Variety, telling the outlet, “I was speaking off the cuff in a Cameo and should not have speculated about the production schedule or episode count… I’m sorry for creating confusion for the production and the fans.” Season two of ‘Heated Rivalry’ is expected to premiere in spring 2027.
