The Met Office has extended its amber heat warning further to the west.
The warning for "extreme heat" originally applied to parts of the West and East Midlands, the east and southeast of England, and Yorkshire and Humber, as well as Greater London.
The Met Office has broadened this to include areas in the northwest, including Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
Also, the warning applies to parts of the southwest now, including Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire.
