Friend 2.0 might be the weirdest AI product launch I’ve seen all year 😭
The AI necklace can now talk back to you, and somehow the ad they made for it raises even more questions than the product itself.
The founder has described Friend as a kind of “confidant, friend, God,” says the first 5,000 devices sold out, and now wants to sell 50,000 of these.
And there are clearly people who genuinely want this. One commenter on X even said AI makes a better counselor than therapy.
So… am I being old-fashioned, or is this where we’re actually headed?
