Firefighters across Europe struggled against multiple fires Friday as a new wave of record-breaking heat baked a swath of Europe.

Also, record breaking torrential rains has fallen in Japan’s Chiba Prefecture where parts of it received three-times the average August rainfall in just one day and drenching storms are rolling over the US Midwest for a sixth day early Friday, setting off more flooding in a region where hundreds of people have been forced from their homes in recent days.

CNN’s Chief Climate Correspondent Bill Weir talks about how climate change is affecting the World weather and Beccy Speight, the CEO of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds shares how these massive wildfires are affecting wildlife and their habitats. And CNN’s Nada Bashir on the wildfires raging across England and the rest of Europe.
