Chris Hansen reacts to Robert Pattinson playing him in ‘Primetime,’ the biopic based on his true-crime series, ‘To Catch a Predator.’ Chris tells Annie Elise on her ‘Serialously’ podcast, he had no involvement in making the film, including no say in casting. Chris says he understands choosing 40-year-old Robert, ‘a very popular actor,’ but says he always envisioned 69-year-old Dennis Leary playing him, ‘depending on the age of it all.’ Chris was in his mid-40s when his NBC true crime series aired. ‘Primetime’ hits theaters on Sept. 25.
