Romanian F-16 jets destroyed a naval drone near the Neptun Deep gas platform in the Black Sea on August 20, according to the defence ministry. The drone was detected just hundreds of metres from the offshore facility, prompting Romanian authorities to order its destruction to protect workers and critical infrastructure. The ministry said Ukrainian authorities confirmed through a direct communication channel that the drone was not of Ukrainian origin.
