India has been rocked by several weeks of demonstrations, known as the ‘cockroach’ protests.
They were sparked by the leak of medical school entrance exam papers – that led to the cancellation of the exams, a move that affected two million pupils and which reportedly triggered the suicide of a dozen students.
Sky News’ Neville Lazarus met the families of some of the students who took their lives to find out what happened.
Anyone feeling emotionally distressed or suicidal can call Samaritans for help on 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org in the UK. In the US, call the Samaritans branch in your area or 1 (800) 273-TALK.
