More than 2,000 swimmers from over 60 countries took part in the 38th Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swim in Istanbul on August 23. Participants swam roughly 6.5 kilometres from the Asian side of the strait to the European shore.
First held in 1989, the Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swim is one of the world’s leading open-water events, uniquely taking swimmers from Asia to Europe across Istanbul’s iconic strait.
