Palestinian terrorism has declined significantly over the past two years, but IDF Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth is warning that near-daily settler violence could ignite a new escalation.
According to Israeli media, Bluth warned Netanyahu and senior officials that the IDF is being forced to divert attention and resources from preventing Palestinian terror attacks to dealing with what he called Israeli “nationalist crime.”
