Eyewitness video captured a tornado forming beneath a supercell thunderstorm near the village of Verzeille in southern France on August 24. The tornado struck the area around Pomas, injuring at least 26 people and leaving around 2,800 households without electricity. Homes were damaged, some partially destroyed, and trees uprooted.
