Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly chat exclusively with ET’s Cassie DiLaura on the set of ‘Dark Matter’ season 2, streaming now on Apple TV+. ET went behind the scenes of the reality-bending series, where the cast teased how things get even wilder for their multiverse-hopping characters this season. Author-turned-showrunner Blake Crouch revealed the writers began expanding the world of the series while still filming season 1, after the first season used the entire novel as its source material. Edgerton and Connelly also had some fun imagining alternate versions of themselves, with Connelly joking she’d make a smarter criminal than her co-star, while making clear she has no actual interest in a life of crime. As this year marks 25 years since Connelly won her Oscar for ‘A Beautiful Mind,’ the actress reflected on the experience of making the film, calling working with director Ron Howard and co-star Russell Crowe a dream job. She also revealed the personal connection that came from the movie: it’s where she met her husband, Paul Bettany!
