Shocking video captured the moment a family was dangerously trapped inside their home as waters raged from a fatal flash flood in Nepal on Aug. 27.
The family miraculously survived the ordeal and were later rescued.
Rescuers in Nepal raced to reach workers trapped in tunnels after devastating flooding inundated several hydropower projects. Authorities said around 350 people could be trapped inside a tunnel at the Upper Trishuli complex, prompting the deployment of about 10,000 Nepali troops alongside specialist teams from China and India. Military aircraft delivered heavy machinery to the remote site as rescuers cleared debris blocking access, with oxygen supplies and cameras ready for use once the tunnel is reached.
