Extreme rainfall caused severe flooding in Fuan City, in China’s Fujian Province, on September 2, inundating parts of Mindong Hospital, including the basement CT scan room. Rising floodwaters cut the hospital’s main power supply, forcing it to rely on emergency power while many patients were stranded by flooded roads. The hospital evacuated affected areas and suspended general outpatient services, while emergency and inpatient departments remained open
