The ceremony in the Zeitoun neighbourhood came as rescue teams continue the grim task of recovering bodies from the ruins across the enclave. Fifty-five sets of remains were recovered this week from one destroyed home, where more than 60 displaced Palestinians had been sheltering when it was hit in November 2023.
