Iranian missiles were intercepted over Mafraq, about 44 miles north of Amman, according to reports. The launches came after the U.S. military said it had destroyed five Iranian oil tankers the previous day in response to attacks on American warships. Iranian state media said Tehran then launched missiles toward U.S. targets in Jordan, marking another escalation in the ongoing conflict. U.S. Central Command said it had no information to provide about reported strikes on a Jordanian airbase.
