Rob Reiner received a posthumous Emmy for his performance in ‘The Bear,’ nine months after their son, Nick Reiner, allegedly killed him and his wife, Michele. Reiner’s award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series was announced at the ceremony formerly known as the Creative Arts Emmys, a two-day event held at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater honoring the artists and craftspeople behind television, one week ahead of the main televised celebration. Reiner was famed for directing a handful of classic films, including ‘The Princess Bride,’ ‘When Harry Met Sally’ and ‘This Is Spinal Tap.’ The late Hollywood star received a lengthy standing ovation from friends and peers in the audience.
