Trump just promised every American $5,000. His last check never arrived.
Trump told a Dallas crowd that every American adult gets $5,000 if Republicans hold Congress in November. He promised $2,000 tariff checks back in November 2025, those never arrived, and the new pledge would cost more than a trillion dollars Congress has not approved.
Scott Melker’s point is that both parties do this, and the money never turns out to be there either time.
He also digs into Tether moving into private credit, PayPal letting anyone launch a stablecoin, Nasdaq paying $100 million to tokenize its own listings, and an Indian warehouse operator putting $2 billion of grain loans on a blockchain.
