Pro-Palestinian activists gathered on a Venice beach, flying kites in support of Gaza and calling for the Palestinian flag to be flown at next year’s Venice Film Festival. Organised by the Global Sumud Flotilla and local groups, the demonstration came a day after “NAZA”, a documentary examining Israel’s AI-assisted targeting in Gaza, received a 25-minute standing ovation at its Venice premiere.
