In the latest wave of strikes, Saudi Arabia says it has downed a Houthi-launched drone that was heading towards Islam’s holiest site, Mecca. And within Yemen, clashes are ongoing in parts of Taiz, Al Jawf and the oil and gas rich region of Marib, where Houthi media say that a Saudi fighter jet was shot down using a locally made surface-to-air missile.
