Why Watch This Class on the End Times? More than one-fourth of the Bible is eschatological, making the study of future events vital for understanding God’s Word. Guided by Jesus Christ—the ultimate teacher of prophecy—this class grounds end-times study in Scripture, beginning with His Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24.
In Matthew 24:15, Jesus authenticates the prophet Daniel, whose 6th-century BC writings foretold historical events like the rise of Alexander the Great 200 years in advance, demonstrating God’s distinct signature of writing history before it occurs. The exact divine precision that predicted ancient empires applies to global events today.
Through Daniel 9, you will explore the 70 weeks (490 years) decreed for Jerusalem and the Jewish people. You will see how exactly 69 weeks (483 years) elapsed from the command to rebuild Jerusalem until Christ was "cut off" on the cross[11]. You will also examine the prophetic interval and the final 70th week—the seven-year Tribulation enforced by a ruler from a revived Roman Empire.
Furthermore, the course examines how Ezekiel’s prophecies of an invasion led by Russia and Persia (Iran) reflect ancient roots of enmity and modern geopolitical alignments.
