Carrot Top’s team shared an update on the comedian as he continues to be hospitalized in Las Vegas. "Scott remains hospitalized and under close medical care," a rep for Carrot Top, real name Scott Thompson, said in a statement to TMZ Sept. 20. "He is now awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him." His rep added that the 61-year-old has been joking around with the medical staff caring for him and that he has been reading the "many messages from fans" from over the last several days. Carrot Top, according to the rep, has been sent "stories from people about how his comedy helped them through difficult periods in their own lives," which in turn are helping him now.
