A Panama-flagged bulk carrier ploughed into a Chinese fishing boat in the Singapore Strait on September 17. First Margaux struck Chinese vessel Luqing Yuanyu 108 after both vessels entered the same westbound shipping channel under Singapore’s traffic separation scheme. Video filmed from the fishing boat shows the cargo ship approaching from behind before the collision spun the vessel around and sent water flooding across its deck.
