UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have this week called for reform to how the United Nations operates. They say its institutions are struggling to confront mounting global challenges and that power should no longer rest in the hands of just five countries – the permanent members of the security council.
