Donald Trump’s lavish welcome of Xi Jinping this week marked a high point for stability in a US-China relationship that’s seen a lot of lows. Now, the Chinese leader is pushing to lock in more favorable terms on Taiwan and trade while he still he can. Sara Schuman, Managing Director at Beacon Global Strategies said there are not as many areas with potential for progress as during the first Trump Presidential term.
