Are you pounding your tent stakes too deep into a world destined to collapse?
In this class, we confront the staggering reality of the sixty-minute collapse in Revelation 18, where trillions of dollars of human monuments and centuries of labor evaporate in a single hour. It is incredibly easy to fall into the trap of modern worldliness—continually escaping reality through constant "amusement" and making our earthly nests so comfortable that we rarely think of heaven.
Through this powerful study, your perspective on security, wealth, and career will undergo a radical life transformation. You will hear the humorous but profound lesson of a corporate lawyer on a camping trip who buried his tent stakes so deep that he couldn’t pull them up when it was time to move. If you truly know you are just camping on this earth, you will stop driving your stakes so deep into temporary comforts.
You will face Jesus’ ultimate profit-and-loss statement in Mark 8:36: “What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”. We will contrast the tragic end of Emperor Nero—who ate under hundred-foot ceilings and glistened under mother-of-pearl walls but lost his soul—with the joyful, humble legacy of believers who lived for eternity.
This class will challenge you to pull your life over, look in the mirror of Scripture, and transition from a passive materialist to an active citizen of heaven. Watch this class to align your daily schedule with eternity, loosen your grip on this passing world, and experience the fullness of joy found only in His presence.
