There was a rare and fleeting moment of levity during Tuesday’s hearing, when defense attorney Kevin Reddington made the court laugh. As Judge William Sullivan worked with Reddington and prosecutors to set a date for the next hearing in Lindsay Clancy’s case, the justice made clear that motions filed by both sides need to be argued before he could set a retrial date. When Sullivan asked Reddington if he agreed, the bulldog defense attorney replied, "Believe it or not I do.”
People in the room laughed out loud.
