Loud explosions rocked Yemen’s Houthi-held capital, Sanaa, as reports emerged of renewed Saudi air strikes targeting Houthi positions. Residents reported that warplanes could be heard overhead as powerful blasts echoed across the city.
Yemen’s armed forces, aligned with the internationally recognised government, also said they were conducting strikes against the Houthis in Sanaa and the group’s stronghold of Saada. A military spokesperson said forces were targeting what he described as “vital targets”, without providing further details. Casualty figures were not immediately available.
