Palestinian aid worker Saqr Al-Qaisi, who worked with a Turkish charity providing humanitarian assistance in Gaza, was killed in an Israeli air strike targeting a vehicle in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. Ten other people were injured, according to initial reports.
The strike comes amid continued Israeli attacks despite the ceasefire agreement. Since October 2023, more than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 175,000 injured in Gaza, according to Palestinian figures, while around 90% of the territory’s infrastructure has been destroyed.
