Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has criticised Andy Burnham’s approach to politics ahead of her keynote speech at the Conservative Party conference.
Badenoch told Sky’s Beth Rigby that Burnham’s job is to ‘run the country’, not ‘apply to be everyone’s boyfriend’.
On the show, Cathy and the panel discuss Badenoch’s attempt to set policy and personal divides with Burnham, including on the pension triple lock, where she has hinted that she would not reverse any Labour changes to the policy.
Tonight’s panel:
Ex-Tory minister, Lord Michael Gove
Ex-Tory MP, Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg
Former Boris Johnson adviser, Lucia Hodgson
