Are you driving your tent stakes too deep into a world that is destined to dissolve[1], while living a superficial "fool’s gold" faith? In a fast-paced modern culture fixated on temporary comforts, it is tragically easy to get swept up in accumulating what will eventually burn away, leaving your own soul spiritually distracted and completely unprepared for Christ’s return.
In this eye-opening, life-recalibrating class taught by John Barnett, you will undergo a radical spiritual transformation by trading temporary earthly attachments for unshakeable heavenly purity. Studying 2 Peter 3:10–13, you will confront the sobering reality that the heavens and earth will melt with fervent heat. Barnett challenges you to adopt Jonathan Edwards’ famous resolve—never to do anything you wouldn’t want to be found doing when Jesus arrives. You will learn to live in genuine, holy conduct, shedding "fool’s gold" Christianity for pure, refined gold that survives the coming fire.
This urgent study ignites a triumphant, anchoring hope deep within your own heart. You will discover the liberating truth that "heaven is home, and earthly life is camping". Looking forward to the new heavens and new earth where righteousness dwells, you will embrace your true identity as a pilgrim and stranger, refusing to put your own tent stakes down too deep.
Take this class today, stop building with materials that burn, keep alert, and firmly anchor your soul in the eternal promise of your true, glorious, eternal heavenly home forever.
