The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., has begun refilling after months of repairs, setbacks and controversy. The process started on October 12, with workers seen cleaning the surrounding area the following day. The National Park Service has warned that the water may initially appear cloudy but should clear as the pool fills. Visitors have welcomed the return of the iconic landmark, while expressing hopes that it will look better than before once the work is complete.
