Lil Jon is revealing the story behind his trademark sunglasses. In a conversation with People while promoting his new memoir ‘I Only Shout So You Can Hear Me,’ the “Shots” rapper shared that he sustained a "traumatic cataract" after accidentally stabbing his eye with an insulin needle, prompting him to undergo multiple surgeries including a corneal transplant. Lil Jon (real name Jonathan Smith) said he developed a lazy eye as an adult due to the accident and now wears sunglasses to hide his eyes.
