Israeli military machinery has been filmed uprooting olive trees in Kafr Malik, a village near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Footage showed bulldozers tearing olive trees from the ground, leaving uprooted and broken trees scattered across the land, with Israeli forces also seen at the scene.
The olive harvest in the occupied West Bank officially began on October 15. However, escalating illegal Israeli settler violence, military raids, access restrictions and illegal settlement expansion — including the rapid establishment of dozens of outposts — are increasingly preventing Palestinians from reaching their farms and severing their ties to the land.
According to a survey of 29 Palestinian and international organisations operating in the occupied West Bank, 79 percent of NGOs reported that their staff had recently been attacked, threatened or harassed.
The Palestinian Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission said such incidents typically include physical assaults, detentions, beatings, pepper-spray attacks, property theft, attacks on homes, tree felling and road blockages.
