Bodycam footage from August 17, 2025, shows San Francisco officers pinning Kevon Gibson, 33, face-down and repeatedly striking him during an arrest at a residential hotel. Prosecutors said Gibson refused to leave an elevator and resisted a pat-down, during which officers found a loaded 9mm handgun in his pocket. Gibson was later convicted of firearm possession and misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, but acquitted of three felony resisting arrest charges.
