Years after Christina Applegate shared that she was battling multiple sclerosis, the actress said she is "back at square one" after learning she had been misdiagnosed. Recalling her recent doctor’s visit on the Oct. 20 episode of her and Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s MeSsy podcast, she recalled, "She came into my room and said, ‘Congratulations, you don’t have MS.’ I was, like, not happy at all. Everybody else was so happy." The 54-year-old emphasized that the confirmation of the misdiagnosis hadn’t changed how she’s continued to struggle physically, still regularly using a walking cane and experiencing pain and aches all over her body. "I haven’t gotten better, Jamie," she said. "If anything, I’ve gotten worse. So I’m back at square one where I don’t know what’s going on with me. That’s going to be an online investigation that my doctors are going to be getting into just to find out what has been going on since 2021."
