MS NOW contributor Elise Jordan joins Morning Joe to discuss the latest installment of ‘The Voter Files,’ where she speaks directly with voters in key states through a series of focus groups, listening to the people who will decide the 2026 midterms. In the latest installment, Jordan sat down with Iowa independent voters from small towns and rural communities outside Des Moines. Most lean Republican, and all voted for President Trump in 2024, but nearly all say they did so with reservations. Looking ahead to the day after the election, Jordan asked them what it would take for them to believe Trump if he challenged the results of the midterms and whom they would trust if Trump and Iowa election officials were at odds over the results.
