US special envoy Steve Witkoff has arrived in Oslo for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy who’s hoping to patch up his differences with the Trump administration. Relations between Kiev and Washington have deteriorated sharply, with President Donald Trump saying Russia has been quote ‘fine on Ukraine’, while accusing Zelenskyy of obstructing peace efforts and suggesting Kiev should find someone else to negotiate. He’s also denied the allegation that Washington is deliberately slowing military support for Ukraine. Paul Hawkins has more.
