The H3 Podcast may have just collapsed overnight. Hila Klein publicly accused her husband and longtime co-host Ethan Klein of carrying on an affair for more than six months, announced that the couple is separating and described the last several months as a nightmare of lies and betrayal. According to Hila, Ethan first characterized what happened as “just a kiss,” then as emotional cheating, before finally admitting to an affair. Her statement arrived less than twelve hours after Ethan announced that H3 was going on an indefinite hiatus with no return date.
Then the entire H3 crew dropped the hammer. In a joint statement, they said they were shocked, angry and heartbroken, stood completely behind Hila and had unanimously agreed that they would not continue working with Ethan involved—or allow him to profit from whatever comes next. They admit they do not yet know what that means for the future, but a show built around Ethan and Hila is now paused, the marriage is separating and the production team has cut Ethan out. Ethan had not issued a detailed public response when Variety published its report. H3 has not been formally cancelled and the crew could potentially continue under another name or format, but the version millions of viewers knew appears to be finished. Holy moly—this thing detonated in a matter of hours.
