Tens of thousands protested in the Spanish capital, demanding state pension protection ahead of parliamentary elections in November. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has called an early election for November 29 that he hopes will hand him a parliamentary majority. Housing, immigration, and the pension system are some of the main issues dominating the electoral campaign.
