Woman ARRESTED After Horrifying Rabbi NEEDLE ATTACK!
A horrifying suspected needle attack in the middle of New York City just got even worse. Prosecutors say a woman followed a 26-year-old Chabad rabbinical student named Yosef through Manhattan’s Diamond District, maneuvered around a parked car and struck him in the back with an unknown sharp object that he believed was a needle or syringe. He was left bleeding and taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. Surveillance footage appears to show the attacker passing other pedestrians before pursuing the visibly Jewish victim. Incredibly, Yosef returned to the same neighborhood the following day and resumed his Jewish outreach work instead of allowing the attack to intimidate him.
Police have now arrested 32-year-old Brooklyn resident Anna Mochalova, who was arraigned Sunday on seven counts including assault and menacing as hate crimes. Prosecutors allege that Yosef was not the only target: roughly five minutes later, another visibly Jewish man suffered a painful injury to his forearm and was allegedly threatened with a gun. They further claim the suspect approached a third man, asked whether he was Jewish and walked away after he said he was Muslim. Mochalova’s attorney argues that police may have arrested the wrong person, and every charge remains an allegation. A judge set bail at $50,000 cash or a $150,000 bond, with another court appearance scheduled for October 29. The exact weapon remains unconfirmed, and there is no verified reporting that it contained any substance or caused poisoning or infection.
