Early voting is underway ahead of the November 3, 2026 midterm elections, where control of the U.S. Congress hangs in the balance alongside 36 governorships and state legislatures across the country. With Democrats needing a net gain of just four seats to flip both the House (currently 218–214 Republican) and the Senate (53–47 Republican), ad spending has reached a record $3.8 billion, heavily boosted by high-profile donors like Elon Musk.
