"Balance of Power" focuses on the intersection of politics and global business. On today’s show, Betsey Stevenson, Professor of Public Policy and Economics at the University of Michigan’s Ford School and former Chief Economist of the Department of Labor, says the Fed’s decision to leave rates unchanged is puzzling because another increase is still likely. John Thomas, Nestpoint managing director and veteran Republican pollster and Strategist, says the controversy surrounding another Dan Sullivan on Alaska’s Senate ballot could materially affect a race within the margin of error by undermining voter trust. Rep. Blake Moore (R-UT) says candidates need to be candid with voters about higher energy prices and the challenges driving them.
