Patrick Stewart’s son Daniel Stewart shared a photo of them together on X Oct. 29 after the actor’s death following years of estrangement from one another. The son of the Star Trek icon commemorated his father in a throwback photo giving his dad a piggyback ride while on stage together. The father-son duo are smiling in the photo, in which Patrick is sporting a head of light gray hair and a mustache. In the years leading up to his death, Patrick had opened up about being estranged from his kids, telling the Irish Independent in 2023, "There’s not a day that goes by that I’m not pained by the memory of my children. who they were and by a sense of responsibility that they became who they are in part because of me and my influence or lack of influence on them."
