Are you feeling crushed by intense pressure, spiritual isolation, or the dark corruptions of modern culture?
In this class, we unpack the inspiring yet hard life of the Apostle John in Revelation 1:9. Exiled in his nineties to the barren penal colony of Patmos by Emperor Domitian, John stood as the last living apostle. He lived in a Roman world that was a true cesspool of sin, surrounded by explicit street carvings of perversion and counterfeit pagan cults like Mithraism that mimicked Christian terms like being "born again" while practicing bloody rituals.
John understood what it meant to endure thlipsis—the Greek term for tribulation that literally describes being crushed under a heavy olive millstone. Yet, despite having no church building, no fellow believers, and no physical freedom, John declared that he was "in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day". He proved that physical isolation never equals spiritual abandonment.
Watching this class will ignite a radical transformation in your daily walk. Instead of viewing yourself as a victim of dark times, you will learn to see yourself as a humble brother and companion in Christ’s patient endurance. You will stop allowing difficult circumstances or cultural pressures to drain your faith. Instead, you will discover how to stay daily filled with the Holy Spirit and maintain unyielding worship no matter how isolated or pressured you feel.
Join us to trade spiritual exhaustion for the victorious, Spirit-filled endurance modeled by John!
