Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI), the former primary opponent for Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, appeared with El-Sayed’s GOP opponent Mike Rogers before crossing party lines and formally endorsing the Republican candidate. Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, Democratic candidate for Senate from Michigan, talks with an MS NOW panel about his political priorities and building the coalition necessary to put together a win in Michigan — a project made potentially more difficult by the surprise betrayal of Rep. Haley Stevens, who shocked the political world with a last minute endorsement of El-Sayed’s opponent, the Republican Senator she has previously been criticizing in the harshest terms. Nicolle Wallace, Chris Hayes, Ari Melber, Jen Psaki, and Michael Steele weigh in on Rep. Haley Stevens’ last-minute shock endorsement of Republican Mike Rogers over Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan. Ali Velshi joins at the Big Board. Michigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow (D), who campaigned for Senate in the Democratic primaries before being defeated by nominee Abdul El-Sayed, joins Antonia Hylton to share her reaction to the shocking turn of events after former primary rival Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) endorsed El-Sayed’s GOP opponent Mike Rogers on the eve of the election.
