Richard Socher founded Recursive and You.com and wrote The Eureka Machine, on why AI is the key to a new era of scientific discoveries. He tells Brian Sozzi about walking into an appointment having run his own analysis and knowing about a test his doctor had not heard of, why he thinks biology is turning from a life science into an engineering one, and why even a miracle drug would still spend years in FDA review. He also says doctors will stay crucial, for oversight and prescriptions. Figures he cites for private companies are his own.
