    Adele has announced she will take an extended break from music following the conclusion of her Las Vegas residency in November. During her final show in Munich on August 31, the “Easy On Me” singer shared with fans that, after finishing her 10 remaining shows in Las Vegas, she would be stepping away from the stage for “an incredibly long time.”

    The 36-year-old singer expressed that she has been performing non-stop for nearly three years and is ready to focus on her personal life. “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now,” Adele said, visibly emotional. “I want to live my life that I’ve been building, and I will miss you terribly.”

    Originally, her tour was set to end in Munich, but she added 10 more shows in Las Vegas to accommodate fans who missed out when she fell ill at the start of her residency in 2022. Adele emphasized that after these final performances, she would be taking a significant hiatus from music. “But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” she reiterated, holding back tears, as captured in a fan video shared on social media.

    Reflecting on her long stint of performances, Adele admitted that this has been the “longest” period she has ever committed to touring and hinted that she might never take on such a rigorous schedule again. As her Munich show came to a close, she led the audience in a heartfelt rendition of her hit “Someone Like You,” promising to remember these moments “for eternity.”

    Adele’s residency at Caesars Colosseum in Las Vegas will continue until November 23, 2024. It is currently unknown when she plans to return to music or perform live again.

    The past three years have seen Adele extensively touring to promote her Grammy-winning album 30, released in 2021, which featured hits like “I Drink Wine,” “Hold On,” and “Love is a Game.” This album marked her return to the music scene after a six-year hiatus following her previous record, 25. Written during a period of personal upheaval after her 2019 divorce from Simon Konecki, 30 reflects the emotional journey she underwent during that time.
