Fire crews in California are still battling fresh wildfires. The Hughes Fire has burned through over 40 square kilometers of trees and bushes north of Los Angeles. Firefighters are working to keep the flames from spreading further. Evacuation orders relating to the blaze, which affected tens of thousands of people, have now been lifted. A fire in Ventura County also prompted evacuations. Two new fires have also been reported in the San Diego area.
